Cookies

The small files we use, and your choice about the optional ones.

Last updated 1 September 2026

Ride2 is a demonstration project, not a real company. This page shows how we'd run things if we were.

1.Your choice

Until you choose, we only use essential cookies. “Reject non-essential” and “Accept all” are always equally easy, and you can change your mind here whenever you like.

Your choice on this device

You haven't chosen yet, so we're using essential cookies only.

2.Essential cookies (always on)

  • Sign-in: set by our sign-in provider to keep you logged in and protect your account.
  • Security: to stop forged requests and abuse.
  • Your cookie choice: remembered in your browser's storage so we don't ask on every page.
  • Handy extras: things like your recent searches, stored only in your browser.

3.Analytics cookies (optional)

With your permission, we'd use analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful, so we can improve them. We never use advertising cookies and never sell data. Right now we don't run any analytics at all, so saying yes changes nothing today — if we add analytics later, it will only run for people who've said yes.

4.Maps

Our maps load image tiles from OpenFreeMap, using OpenStreetMap data. Your browser contacts their servers to fetch the tiles, which means they see your IP address, but no cookies are set.
